Nashville 4 Africa

Long time, no blog. Excuses, excuses, excuses! We've got many but won't waste our time or yours! :) The key thing is that we're baaaaaaaaack and hope to do a better job of posting on a more regular basis. There is way too much to catch you up on considering we haven't posted an update since December, but just know that we are both doing great and absolutely loving life in Nashville.

Where to start? How about this past Wednesday night? We had the opportunity to attend a very unique and worthwhile event at the gorgeous Schermerhorn Symphony Center. Nashville 4 Africa featured a star-studded lineup including Big Kenny (from Big & Rich), Keith Urban, Dierks Bentley, Faith Hill, The Steeldrivers (one of the most incredible bluegrass bands you'll ever have the pleasure of listening to), Brad Arnold (from 3 Doors Down), the amazing African Children's Choir and many others. The first benefit of its kind in Middle Tennessee, the concert raised money for charitable causes in Africa, specifically in Uganda and the war-torn country of Sudan. This was certainly one of those "this could only happen in Nashville" kind of events and we were thrilled to be a part of it.

Next up ... the Country Music 1/2 Marathon tomorrow ... 13.1 miles of fun in the sun (literally -- the weather gods are calling for highs in the mid 80s, although it will likely be in the mid 60s/low 70s when we're trucking along). We'll keep you posted!

Until next time ...
